a little bit of everything

These days I find it difficult to write a post. Not because I'm not productive but simply trying new things means that the idea doesn't always work, the way I want to. In the sample above I tried to combine different kinds of blue with easy going stitches, although I couldn't resist to put in some bullion knots, and frayed edges. The strange things is that I like frayed edges when I look at other people's work but find it very hard to show them in my own work.

On a regular base I "make a book" with snippets of things I find interesting. In the picture you see on of the books made last week with a viking them. By making these books I declutter my workspace and a source of inspiration is becoming available.

This croquis design is also from last week. Found this square in the Viking book of Jan Messent and played around with it for a few nights. This is one of my favorite ideas.

As you can see, a little bit of everything and now it is time to get back to work. Still a lot of decluttering and weeding to do.

Have a fabulous day!

Elizabeth

Are you collecting scraps of notes or are you developing an idea before you put it into your book? It looks very interesting
