Last thursday, while being at a get together to stitch, I finished these two samples. The blue leaf sample I like a lot. The wrapped thread works really well to create a leaf.

This second sample was all about texture. The texture created with wool and the snoregaffel I really like but I don't like to stitch with wool. Well, a lesson learned and now it is time to move on!

I'm always captivated by your beautiful, perfect stitches, dear Elizabeth!

Even if I myself enjoy stitching with wool, I can see it's not your medium, as you're embroidering very exact and it's almost impossible to be that pointed with wool.

As my stitching is more wobbly and imperfect, wool is quite a 'forgiving' material ... :-)!

Both are effective but the leaf is definitely more you. I agree with Anneli that the wool does not allow for the same precision.

Lovely samples E, especially like the leaf. Have to agree, wool doesn't allow for perfection. :)
