One last time

One last time some pictures of Imagine. Now this piece is washed, all the paints removed and ironed. At this moment it still is just a piece of cloth with some embroidery on it and the idea I had to finish it failed so I will leave it like this until I find the "perfect" solution to get it totally finished.

And since this song is part of the inspiration I leave you with John Lennon.

Have a peaceful start of your weekend.

Another morning

Have been playing this morning and the result is a messy table and some ideas that might work. Time to catch some sunshine and let my thoughts settle down.

Hope you're having fun with your thoughts, ideas, musings.

A glorious sunday

Yesterday we had the most fantastic sunday. It was 10 degrees and the sun was out and about. In the hours of the morning I worked in the garden, mainly weeding since we have had such a mild winter that these little buggers kept growing. The afternoon was spent at Tranerodde Fyr and alongside the beach.

The calender tells us that it is only February but it feels like spring has started already. Days of sunshine, which I missed so much, will grow in numbers again and lots more pale blue skies are awaiting.

Hope you too enjoy these early signs of spring.

Monday's music

It is monday
The sun is shining
My to do list an arm long
and so
music will keep me company while shortening the list-without-an-end
Eunan played for the first time in Denmark last weekend unfortunately only in Copenhagen and therefore a little tribute to the man with the gently voice.

Have a grand start of your week.

When I was at the embroidery-class the last time I tried to explain how Imagine came to be. I noticed it was difficult to explain since they don't know the pieces I made through the years. That's why I decided to make a little book in which I explain with photographes the road it took to get to draw Imagine. Finally all the pictures and drawings were ready to be glued in. Since I can't show it to you, a collage of the different pages was made. Besides the pictures, two envelopes are put in with some explanation. So next thursday this will be taken with me together with Imagine and let's hope I can tell a clearer story to them.

If you have any question on the how, what, why, just leave it in a comment.

Have a wonderful evening.

Mrs. Crocodile

Since my mind was totally focused on Imagine the last week and a half I almost forgot to tell you about Mrs. Crocodile. You don't know it but she had her birthday just before Valentine's day. Normally I'm always the one who forgets about birthday's but not this time because I got some inspiration while attending the embroidery-course in S√łnderborg.

Our teacher showed us this drawing because a number of girls are working on pieces for Easter. I really liked this little drawing and thought it would be great to embroider for Mrs. Crocodile. While driving home I thought of a sentence to write on the card: It is not a crocodile but it knits. Pondering over things the lightbulb went on which meant a trip through google-land since I wanted to find a little drawing of a sitting crocodile.

In case you haven't figured it out by now Mrs. Crocodile is a dear friend who is possessed by knitting. She even forgets to go to bed, she has simply too much fun swinging her needles around. The little textile painting safely arrived on the other side of Europe and she had just as much fun opening the package and looking to the smiling crocodile than I had making this embroidery doodle.

Time to find another project filled with fun!

Imagine update

On friday the 7th of February my marathon of needle swinging started. It took some time to draw the design and to get it transferred onto a piece of cloth but after that countless of hours were spent, having a lot of fun while seeing this Celtic peace-sign grow. Last night, 10 days later,  just after 9.00 pm a big sigh was uttered because the embroidery part is done!!!!

What a ride it was and this is only the start of the week. Keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of the week.

Enjoy the new and without a doubt awesome week ahead. Have fun and smile!

Monday's music

Since my love for Keith is still alive.

Have a fabulous week.

Linklove since spring is in the air

Spring is in the air and slowly my energy starts bubbling again which means for me I start looking for new articles to read and therefore I have three links for you. The first one I found in my mailbox this morning and is about patience which was a lovely mirror!

The second link was posted by Julie on Fb. Yes, a miracle has happend again, I opened my account again after x-weeks. The link is an article about Ingmar Bergman and the way he worked which I found really interesting. It is therefore that I ordered The Magic Lantern at the library and I hope it will arrive soon.

The third one is from Matt Walsh, the article is called: I've been divorced four times, but homosexuals are the ones destroying marriage. This is a really funny article about a serious subject, gay marriage, something I totally support.

Have a great day and enjoy yourself.

Sunday, February 2, 2014

The last few days my mind has been busy with layers of the heart and since I love doodling a lot have started to make some heart doodles.

Just found this and love it, so I include it for you and for me to remember.

Enjoy your sunday evening.

Recycle project

Yesterday afternoon I spent some hours making envelopes and cards from an old Danisch atlas my husband brought home from a fleamarket.

Since I made these kinda envelopes already before I had a template which I used to draw the envelope on one of the old maps, cut it out and glue it together.

For the card a template needed to be made and I choose to make a circle-card.

Here you can see two cards, one on the inside and one on the outside. For each card I choose a map which has on one side the blue of the sea because on this side the message can be written while on the outside again a part of a map is given.

A lot of fun doing it and this way a lot of paper can be recycled.
