Something old

Sometimes it is difficult to let go some old piece of clothing especially since it travelled to Bornholm, Germany, Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands with you and lived in Denmark for a little over two years. It might be worn to rags with holes in it and a broken zipper but still it has a dear place in ones heart. At least this is how my big boy feels about his old red cardigan. Before he was ready to discard it as a piece of clothing, a new red cardigan had to be bought!

It is therefore I made him this little pillow, an instant hit with my thirteen year old teenager!

Do you have more ideas for recycling old clothes since I still have two sleeves to turn into something special?

Have a wonderful week.

Monday's music

Last saturday I went to a concert of Bryan Adams and so to start this week I decided to give you one of the songs he played live. If you ever get the chance to see him live, please do you won't regret it. He truly is a top-entertainer and so are his bandmates.

Have a fabulous week!

Sharing

Yesterday I told you already that I planned to continue with my photo-projects. Well since Flickr has all kinds of problems I had no idea that the last picture of my 365-serie became my most viewed one.

My love for tulips isn't a secret and is therefore also one of the subjects I like to photograph.  This black and white picture of a tulip well beyond its prime is the most viewed one out of all the pictures I made during my first year, so far 1101 men and women stopped by to look at it.

Today I share this milestone with you since it is special for me.

Have great day and a wonderful start of your weekend.

Connection in celtic knots

My new connection symbol in celtic knots is ready. It isn't perfect because I made the copy to small and therefore the empty space within a celtic knot sometimes disappear. Next time I either have to use even thinner thread or make it larger. But that's ok because it means the world to me since it is linked to the books Anam Cara of John O'Donhue and Letters to my son of Kent Nerburn. And so I don't mind working with it again.

Yesterday was my last day of my 365-days-project of taking a picture everyday. It was an awesome experience, learned tons and made some new friends. What more could I wish for? And so I decided to continue for another year because seeing the world through the camera makes me see the world also different, the intensity is differently and it gives me a chance to explore even more of what is beautiful and important to me.

And therefore my new years resolution is: To work with projects that bring joy to you and me even when it rains.

Have a fantastic thursday hopefully filled with lots of sunshine!

Monday's music

Just over a week ago it was my birthday and as a birthday present I got this marvellous book. One could say it is a cookbook but it is much more than that. It is very inspirational, lots of information but also a lot of freedom. The favorite music of the writer and chef of Fäviken  is Swedish folk music. It is therefore I have been browsing around in youtube-land and found this.

The song is called Födselsdagfesten, which means birthday party, so totally appropriate for a small afterparty!

Have a wonderful start of your week.

Monday's music

The last few days I spent in the capital of Denmark, my head is dizzy of all the impressions. Time to calm down a bit and find my own rhythm again. So today I have a ballad for you, one I like to sing despite the fact that singing is definitely not one of my talents.

Have a wonderful start of your week.

Monday's music

A few moments ago I asked myself which song I would give to you on this monday morning. The answer was Many rivers to cross .... . No idea why since I haven't heard this song for ages, still I invite you to cross a river with me this morning.

Have a wonderful week filled with love and sunshine.
