Hope and Dreams (5)

In Poetry in blue I promised to tell you all about this piece and earlier this week I showed you the pictures in this collage.  I have to admit this is not way I'm gonna use Hope and dreams, as you might have guessed because of the name. The inspiration for this piece came from the work of two special ladies. The first one is ms Karen Ruane, who makes the most exquiste pockets in her very special pieces. The second lady is the one and only Julie, who on the 9th of September 2009 wrote for the first time line: Writing is the new praying.

Hope and dreams will be used as a throw while I'm in my favorite chair jotting down ideas, writing down thoughts and some magic might happen when I slip a note into one of the special pockets.

“Somewhere over the rainbow,
skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true”

 Lyman Frank Baum

Have a great weekend forfilling all your own dreams.

finally - i am sitting at the computer with a browser that allows me comment (having so many issues with chrome and blogger blogs of late)...i think it's fantastic that you are filling pockets with little written prayers. i hope they all come true! another beautiful, meaningful piece. isn't it fantastic how the inspiration never really stops flowing and that you never know when some inspiration from long ago (not that 2009 is that long ago) will pop into your work?

magic, i say. magic.
