Vintage embroidery

This week is gonna be a special one about vintage embroidery books. While I was in the Netherlands last fall I had the opportunity to browse around in some thriftshops and found some books. This book Spelen met Spanramen of Hetty Mooi was published in 1973. Take a look what she liked to make.

Each time I am amazed by what one can do with a thread. Hope you enjoyed yourself too, I'll see you tomorrow.

those are very special. I particularly like the last one - it looks almost like a vincent van gogh painting.
I hope you've had a lovely christmas!

Dear Elizabeth, I am catching up on your lovely posts.;)
This embroidery reminds me of a certain wall art that used to be popular in the 70's when i was a child.;)
Hope you had a lovely Christmas dear friend,
xoxo
