Vintage embroidery III

Today I have another Dutch embroidery book for you today. It is called Borduren voor iedereen (Embroidery for everyone) and written by Lis Paludan. She wrote a number of books but this one was published in the Netherlands in 1976.

This post is written by Mette and this is the home of Ingrid and her gorgeous pictures all inspired by the work of Lis Paludan.

The picture above is the design drawing, the picture below the sampler.

Have a fantastic day with lot of fun memories.

i have a number of her books too - you know she's danish. :-) my favorite one from her has some anatomically correct naked monsters in it. you've gotta love the 70s.

i wrote about it last year: http://julochka.blogspot.com/2009/12/little-retro-inspiration.html

That looks beautiful, I can imagine this being embroidered on towels and handkerchiefs.;)

such beautiful images. I love that simple almost ''folk'' style.
