Vintage embroidery II

The book of today is called Experimental Embroidery by Edith John. This English book I found it in my local thriftshop and had to give it a home again. The book was published in 1976.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find additional information about this talented lady.

Have a lovely day filled with creativity.

Elizabeth

these are all such beautiful books and I am so pleased that they will be treasured by you. It's good to be back even if only for today, I was missing being around. x

Found your site just by chance and was reminded of my teenage years by thee sight of this book. Edith John was a lecturer at Doncaster Art College in Yorkshire in the late 1960s. I was at a local school, and we were given the opportunity to go to Saturday morning classes at the Art College. Our teacher was Edith John. A lovely, patient lady, who inspired us to be creative.
