Vintage embroidery for everyday

The thriftshop has from time to time vintage-sheets with wonderful embroidery pieces incorporated with it. Takes my breath away to see the details these women incorporated into something so common as sheets.

Hope you have enjoyed yourself and wish you a wonderful day.

I recognize this very much from my childhood, in Slovakia it was very common to embroider sheets and pillowcases.;)

So lovely and so romantic, these oldfashioned sheets. We used to have this kind of bed linen at home too, when I was a child, as my grandmother did a lot of needlework.
Some of the laces my mother has used for a linen curtain - like the one Mary describes - and which now hangs in my bedroom.
