Red thread

This painting is inspired by the next chinese proverb

The red thread

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place or circumstances. The red thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break.

For me this image means two people who are one and still have their own path.

This image is like a process were one picks up where the other leaves.

Two people with very compatible energy.

Two people meeting and than 1 + 1 = 3.

In this painting I used four different stitches, the basic colours are blue and brown. I choose these colours to represent heaven and earth.

Well I hope you like it.

Today the christmas school holiday is starting so I will see you on monday January 5th.

Have a wonderful christmas and a fabulous start of 2009.

Journey

Today I want to show you this pendant. This is the first symbol I made after having a conversation with my best friend about twin souls and the communication between human beings. For me these two crosses symbolize two lives living separately with the crossroads life is giving us but somehow their energy is so close that they feel they don't travel alone and a loving supporting shadow is with them all the time.

Have a loving day.

Peace

Christmas is just around the corner and like everybody we are busy with our preparations.

For me christmas is about peace. Peace of mind, peace in the daily dag and peace in my dreams. Native americans have a beautiful symbol called a dreamcatcher to ensure sweet dreams. I made such a dreamcatcher with a small peacebird flying in it as a reminder.

Some years ago I also made dreamcatchers for my sons and at night I reminded them of it by saying a little poem I had found on the internet.

Sleep well sweet child,
Don't worry your head,
Your dreamcatcher is humming,
Above your bed.

Listen so softly,
I know you can hear,
The tone of beyond,
Close to your ear.

Love is alive,
And living in you,
Beyond all your troubles,
Where good dreams are true.

Have a peaceful day.

Blue scarf

This scarf I made last year and I am really happy for it because it is cold in Danmark this time of year.

The reason I show you this scarf is because it is a reminder for me to buy enough yarn before I start a project. I made that mistake last year which gave me a lot of extra work because I had to redue a number of blocks. You can't really see it very well in the picture but I used three different blue's in it. Inside the dark blue is slightly darker light blue than on the outside. It is made of satincotton and it feels warm and soft.

This morning I saw that maybe I will get to a similiar problem. The last few days I have been working on a painting called twin spirits and now it looks like I don't have enough of one colour. So I'm keeping my fingers cross and hope I can finish it otherwise I have to restart.

Have a beautiful day.

Conversation

This post is about a conversation I overheard between two women. They were talking about the need they felt to spend time with their children now before they were all grown up and the demands of their jobs.

What I saw was the acceptance of life the way it was but I heard loving words mixed with tears of their hearts.

And now I want to welcome everyone who stopped by after reading the post of Elsita and thank you all for the wonderful kind comments you wrote. You made me a very happy girl.

Have a grand day.
